WELCOME TO MAES!

The Manchester Ancient Egypt Society welcomes everyone with an interest in ancient Egyptian history.

The oldest and largest Egyptology society in the UK (our inaugural meeting was on 23rd March 1987), we organise an annual programme of online lectures from visiting Egyptology professionals, as well as study days and regular trips to Egyptology collections in the UK and further afield.

We begin our new season of online lectures from September – please check the programme page for details. Zoom lectures are free to members and guests are welcome to join us via Eventbrite – tickets cost £5 per lecture.
